Dedicated Conifer Tree Genomics Websites

Dendrome: Collection of forest tree genome databases and other forest genetic information resources for the international forest genetics community. Dendrome is part of a larger collaborative effort to construct genome databases for major crop and forest species.

Conifer Genome Network: Virtual nexus for researchers working in conifer genomics. The goal of the CGN is to facilitate information exchange among researchers throughout the world and to serve as a forum for advancing conifer genome sciences. See "Conifer genomics programs for the US"

Workshops

Banbury International Workshop on Conifer Genomics: Scheduled for March 19, 2007, objectives to include "Improve communication between genomic scientists and resource managers, ecologists, forest health specialists, research administrators, and other forest biologists.

XX: Number of workshops on forest genomics and biotechnology held for school teachers, tree breeders, and scientists by the conifer genomics community in the last 3 years (US).

ADEPT2: An NSF sponsored pine genomics project featuring a website dedicated to recruiting students into forestry and natural resources, targeting underrepresented groups .
